Friends

Being a chartered accountant by profession, finance and economics have always been my favourite subjects. In last 30 years of professional career, finance has dominated my thought process at every stage. I am not expert into either of these subjects, but still always love to talk about them. The economy is broader segment of which finance is one of the category. Indian economy has been an integral part of my life and have seen lot of decision which were right, wrong or unwarranted. Whenever new government takes charge, the expectation are high because we feel they have different attitude and hence better performer. These expectations put us on psychological tests where we closely monitor to see expectations come true. This happens only when either the new team is better qualified or the earlier team had performed worst. Last couple of years has put we Indian on this psychological test where all the hopes from earlier team had vanished and double expectations were made from the new team. Both situations were not right and therefore today we feel heartburn as the expectations we made from new team could not come true so far. Hope is definitely there but time is also running out. Anyways we can not blame new team for every thing as it was our fault to have such high expectation.

Summer time is going on, people are mostly having vacation programmes now. As usual hill stations are favourite destinations. There is a caution, since last 5 years, the Himalaya is showing disturbing signs. Some thing is going on inside and outside , upper side of the land and inside too. People going in those areas should be cautious and alert. Nepal has just seen the worst earthquake, Kashmir had to face two major rains in six months and Uttarakhand tragedy is still quite green.
