This is said widely in our indian philosophy. I cant understand this theory too, because if money is just the dirt of your hands, then why there is so much difference in status of we people. Only 3% are Rich , 50% Poor and 47% Middle class. Friends I need your comments , what you think is it really true? Or we simply ignoring the importance of money?

It means it will come to you, and go. Dirt there does not mean that bad dirt. It's like hard work. I guess.

I think it can be used to share your sympathy towards the person who have lost his huge amount of money.When we say this we meant to say this is the money can be earned again by doing work. There is no need to be worried and lose heart.Be positive, be happy.
