Mental Slaveness

Friends, I wish to share with you my views on current situation of  " Mental Slaveness" . It is a situation where the mindset, thoughts, views, concepts of a person are changed remotely.
Initially physical human interactions were only source of knowledge sharing which used to affect the thought process. Later the remote tools like print media, books etc became major source of thought process of human beings. Today, electronic media has surpassed all the other methods of thought process. Electronic media laced with lethal electronic gadgets rules the contents, informations, knowledge etc. Electronic gadgets were invented for the benefits of the humans but now these demons have taken away the peace and privacy . These gadgets are integral part of the electronic media who knows every thing about you and immensely affect your thought process.
It is said that if a false thing is repeated 100 times,  we will start believing it. Most of the humans became slave of media who decides what we should watch, think and behave in life. This is a perfect situation of  "mental slaveness" of the humans . It changes your attitude, character, thoughts, opinion etc.
Last 8-9 months of pandemic has added fuel to the fire of this slaveness. There are lots of restriction on interactions and knowledge sharing which has given immense edge to the electronic media to build the clout.
The mental slaveness may be a dangerous phenomenon which may affect the humans life adversely for Long period. It may be misused for radicalisation of masses and  change the thought process and mental state permanently for complete generation. It's wide reach and deep impact is lethal for the human beings. This may have irreparable damage to the human societies.
If you ask me the solution to this than I concede, no idea. I can only suggest for lowering dependency on these gadgets, more and more knowledge sharing and more human interactions with open mindedness and humility.

Tearing Social Fabric

Technological advancement of last 3 decades have changed the life economically, socially and personally. We people of sixties have experienced the thick social fabric when family was full of Chachas, Taus, Dada, Dadi, Bua, mama, mausi and so on...it was the time when every elder had authority to scold or fire or abuse. And we would just bow our head as a respect. The joint families with large number of members were common with strong binding . Any marriage or function in a family was on priority and well attended. Things were quite simple and easy. Every responsibility was family responsibility . The situation stared deteriorating in eighties and escalated in nineties. Post 2000, technology took over the emotions , life styles, way of doing business , education, family structure and social responsibilities. In last 10-15 years, the families have shrunk almost every where, every responsibility is yours only , relations are shrinking- now bua or mausi have become rare and optional. Now social functions have become big challenges. We have become so possessive about the kids that no one can dare to scold them. Now getting annoyed means the end of relations for ever. Neither we care for others nor do others. Education and income have taken top priority slot than anything else including our nears and dears. Technology has virtually tore the social fabric in our society. Now we don’t cry if some one leaves us but we cry if some one comes to us. We have gone far away from our own culture and values. We feel happy to criticise others, their ancestors, down others to any extent. We are happier to see others in trouble. Now if we dont agree with others’ views, he is our enemy . We can not live with people of rival views. . No doubt technology has changed life for good, it has come with equal destruction too .

Technological development has damaged the social fabric badly. We have lot emotions, brotherhood, joint living and so on. Yeh kaha aa gaye hum log.

Failure and success two sides of a coin

It is human nature to be happy and celebrate the success while cursing failure. Generally the ratio of failure and success is 10:90 meaning that number of failures are 9 times more than success . It may be lesser too like 05:95. If we recount failures and success of the life, we will notice that a successful person will be having success ratio of 05:95 or may be lesser . We get frustrated or depressed even if the success ratio is as high as 10:90. In fact, we expect success in every action which can't happen.

What makes the successful person different from others is that they are happy with ratio of 05:95 but the volume of their efforts makes number if success higher. This mantra of increasing the efforts and taking more failures is known to every one but we don't take it when failures knocks us. Rather we curse the failure and get depressed instead of greeting failures . Success can not come alone it has to come with failures and hence despite poor ratio gives immense pleasure whenever we get success. If we getting failures and efforts are continue, believe me success is just very near and can come any time.
The key yo improve the success ratio is only and only  one and that is more failures. Every failure takes you towards the success. People get frustrated when they continuously get failures and leave the efforts but one should not forget that if the cluster of failures is knocking down us, many success are approaching you if you are continuing the efforts.

Teachings of Ramayana

Friends
In this lockdown period we are watching Ramayana & Mahabharata epic serials daily. While watching these serials I noticed following 10 teachings from Ramayana Epic:

1. Time is Supreme: There is no King, Raja, Maharaja and all. Everything is Time. Life travels thru a different phase of time. Whether you are King, Prince or Bhakta there is no smooth route of this journey. You may have born in palaces but end up in Jungle .

2. Never Give Blank Promise ( Vars given by Raja Dashrath) : Whatever you committing , be specific  about the offer and time too. even if it is your spouse. You may end up with life and Sons in Jungle. It may cost dearly to the whole family.

3.  When in trouble no planning works: Troubles are alone rather they  come in flock, whereas the Happiness is always alone. It is said that troubles are Baratis and Happiness is Groom. Whatever be your planning, how so ever strong one may be , things would not in your control You may be lured to hunt a fake golden deer and end up losing your wife. No Laxman Rekha will be useful in bad time.

4. When in Need, the support will be from unknown sources: One may be most powerful but when in trouble, he may not access to his support system. Nobody will support you in worst time, it is your fight , you win or loose. Bhagwan Ram could not get support of powerful Ayodhya when Mata Sita was kidnapped by Ravana. Even no human being came forward to support him. However, when he got the support it was totally unknown sources i.e. Monkeys, Beers etc. Lord Hanuman , Sugreev, Angad, Jamvant etc. were not human but still came forward and fought wit Ravan in  the battle. Hence take the support from anybody when in need.

5. Dharm is Most important Factor: If you doing something wrong, cruel, unethical or any Sin, you would definitely loose the battle despite you may be most powerful person on the earth. It may take away the family, society or nation too. Ravan was most powerful person with a large team of great warriors but could not sustain long against Bhagwan Ram. His ego and manipulations destroyed the whole Lanka.

6. Believe in yourself not in the Public: One should be firm enough in own belief else the advisors and public will force you to abandon your soul also. Never ever think what others would say , else you will be finished soon. The world is full of scoundrels eager to crush you if chance given. Bhagwan Ram should have not let Sita go in jungle just because public partially was viewing against her.

7. Never Underestimate the Opponents : Howsoever small the opponent may be, never underestimate them. Shatrugna, Laxman and Bharat underestimated heavily Love & Kush and got defeated. Unless we have full information about the opponent, never plunge.

8. Move towards mission, Solutions will flow: Bhagwan Ram did not know where is Lanka and when they came to know it otherside of the Sea , there was no solution to cross the Sea. But he went alongwith his army till the shore and found the solution where the bridge was built with floating stones. We should not abandon the mission just because it looks impossible.

9. Don't support blindly: Ravan did wrong but except Vibhishan every body else in Lanka stood with him just because they were quire near and dear to him. One shall not support blindly to anybody for any cause just because of relation.

10. Tough Time may Lasts for Long too: It is said that "Tough Time never lasts but tough people do" but there may be exception to this. For Mata Sita , tough time remained for very long period. Hence be ready for tough time too even if it does not lasts.

Big Opportunity for India Post Covid19

Friends
"Covid19" has proved actually "disaster 20" for the whole world. It started from China and spread across the Globe. Yesterday there was a News that there is no patient in Wuhan, China which was the origin of Corona Virus. Many nations are blaming China for this pandemic and trying to take action in their own way. China will never accept this but it has definitely invited ire of many developed countries. Now people feel that China has virtually freed itself from Covid19 and others are still facing the heat of this pandemic. Lakhs of people have perished and there is no end in near future. It may increase substantially.

So, the anger of various nations is justified to some extent. The repercussion of this anger is decision of shifting certain industries from China to other countries which are suitable and viable locations. The decision by some companies originally from Japan and South Korea may be further followed by various other Covid19 sufferers. Options to these shifting can be many Asian countries providing similar or better work environment at cheaper cost. Generally an industrialist weigh the option on the basis of - a) Ease of doing business; b) Infrastructure; c) Environment; d) Tax structure; e) Stability in government policies; and f) political safety among other factors.

India, meets most of the above required criteria but still there are few crucial factors which need to be improved to attract these companies.
1. Eased of doing Business: This is the most crucial factor for a business which depends on legal structure, government approvals & procedures, level of corruption, tax authority attitude etc.
In my view we need to improve this a lot because in our legal system the recovery of money is time consuming and the decisions take too long time. IBC 2016 has helped in improving the global rating in ease of doing business but this still need to be improved. Infact there are rumour of relaxation in the Code to help the borrowers. If this is given the new investors will afraid of their recoveries in the current legal system. Also the taxation policies should be long term without retrospective effect.
2. Environment : This is also another factor which is crucial for business to select the country for shifting the base. Important ingredient of this is political environment. If we can assure of the cordial atmosphere amongst various communities without fear or favour, it would be a good attraction for the investors.

We are a democratic country with stable political setup, it is good time to attract the industries willing to shift form China resulting into huge employment and economic growth . Our country is well positioned to get success in this with some minor improvements.
