Friends ,
Sunday afternoon is generally relaxed moments but some time the uneasiness in life changes mood.Year  2012 is almost gone. The year has left many scar in the memory along with some happy moments. It was a dull year to mention with not much achievement but certain events were painful. The country witnessed people waking up be it fight for corruption, Lok pal, social hooligans . Mostly the public protested calmly and unitedly. Rather politicians behaved in a very unexpected way. They were mostly busy in managing the show behind curtain playing all kind of tactics to either suppress or spoil the masses. Some how whole political class is put into one side uncovering their real character. It feels as if we are living in a world of Raja-Maharajas where the class is either King or public. Year 2012 witnesses lesser terrorist incidences but much bigger pains of character downturn of we people.

Economically too this year was so so. It is improving but not because of any Government actions but more due to its natural characteristic. Last month saw the Indian economy improving and we can only  wish it to be better in 2013.

Professionally , I am not too satisfied with my performance but expect it to be better in 2013 because the results take time to come. The disturbance on this front shaken me too much and thus affecting the performance. I lost one of my key colleague Hemant Sariya, whose untimely death gave huge shock. It took long time to rebuild the team but with god's grace the new team is ready with full energy and enthusiasm . This year we also came out with new product called "CAMEL" . This is web based solution for Lenders, Borrowers, Consultants and Advisors to break the boundaries and barriers to access each other. In my view this would open up new opportunities and redefine the finance market.

I wish new year 2013 will be full of happiness, prosperity and achievement.

Friends,
Incidences in last 15 days have virtually uncovered the animal mentality in we men. It is unbelievable to know that our country is witnessing one rape every 5 minutes. Most of such cases go unreported. More frightening is the attitude of politicians and police towards such incidences. Police is so insensitive that they are using every tool to create confusion and politicians behave like teachers. Somehow they treat themselves much above the we general public and start advising about the clothing, timing and so on. If they feel so then what is the need of taking responsibilities.

In my view, we the people, the society are fully responsible for such things. We are not concerned about the happenings around us till it affects directly. This attitude of ignoring has proved disastrous for all of us. We should also understand that politics has become a business now and lot more is on stake for the politicians. Why they should serve the society without any benefit. Time has come for we people to redefine the politics otherwise it may be dangerous.

Also, the arrogance in society has increased to a great extent. It may be due to peer pressure, frustration, depression, more greed, higher expectation etc. but ultimately the damage to the society is tremendous. We have started living separately because we feel the other members of the family are not earning equal so why the benefit should be equal. But we forgot that money is not every thing, ther are so many other things in life which can't be earned by money like love, respect, affection, values . For happy life we need all these.

With winter season picking up, the enjoyment is also getting high. Ahmedabad is going to vibrant in next 21 days when the Kite festival, Uttarayan, Vibrant festivals would be celebrated. The events would see lot of dignitaries visiting Gujarat.

Friends
Last about two weeks have witnessed lot of activities in the social and business fronts. I had travel a lot to Jaipur, Mumbai, Delhi. My younger sister (Indra-Anilji) celebrated 25th anniversary on 25th November 2012 . It seems like very recently when she got married. We had just parted from the joint family, lost the support of uncles and cousins, I had just completed CA And was struggling to settle down in Jaipur so that I can support my parents in this tough time. Father was only earning member of the family and there was no way to face the challenge of sisters' marriage. We were virtually broken but some how god came to our rescue and we were out with a successful marriage of my younger sister. Anyways, the world had moved much ahead after that. Now she is running happy married life with two kids becoming professionals soon and lovely banker husband.

The celebration followed by a small Vastu Pooja of a flat in Jaipur. The occasion was more exciting due to gathering of all the family members after long time along with kids joining from Bangalore and Pune.

Next visit to Jaipur happened with in a week's time again for social reason. My brother In law (Rajnishji-Dollyji) got their  daughter married. It was happiest moment to see the small kids growing and now getting married. They are so intelligent, smart and lovely that any body of my age would be depressed . Their way of talking, behaving and respecting the elders is really flattening people of my age. I can say this with full confidence that the coming generation is far ahead of us in every respect. Little girl got married with a smart boy, both professionals and excelling in career. My good wishes for their happy married life would always remain. The management of event was so perfect that there was no room to complain. Every thing managed meticulously and with great coordination amongst the key members.

The event also coincided with our 23rd marriage anniversary.  It so happened that on 7th evening just after engagement ceremony, me and Shashi were called on stage and asked to garland each other in celebration of the anniversary. There was no need or compulsion on their part to do this kind of celebration of our anniversary still it was celebrated despite all the other functions going on. I really adore the great affection and love towards us by them. It was a very happy moment of my life. I simply can't describe and can not reciprocate in any manner. My sincere thanks to all of them for blessing us and showering love and affection. It rarely happens in life. I am too small to understand this kind of love and can't even reciprocate even half of this.

The present market situation is also giving me run professionally. Lot of travelling, stress and actions are in place. The efforts are to much and I believe the result would also be fantastic in near future. I am writing this post in flight while returning from Chennai.

Friends,
Post Diwali weather is changing. Monsoon gone now and winter is knocking the door. This year  mosquito did much more damage than earlier. Diwali also brings in vacation and golden opportunity of reuniting with the kids. With the end of vacation, every one goes back to the routine and hence only memories remaini with us finally.
Coming weeks are expected to be full of challenges professionally with lot of travelling already planned out. Since last some months I am working on a new venture along with my team and it seems that time has come to start it with more aggressively. New venture, new plans and new challenges are always full of uncertainties and need lot of attention. I wish this venture gets success at the earliest.

I love reading books but some how laziness has taken over my interest in early wake up and reading. This is the reason of slow addition of books in the list. I wish to overcome this bad habit ASAP and move forward.

Tomorrow, the day would be in Delhi and night in Jaipur if every thing goes as planned. Being in Jaipur  is always a matter of joy.

Diwali festival is on at least in Gujarat. Here we celebrate this festival for almost a week. This time it started from Sunday, 11.11.2012 and would remain till next Sunday, 18.11.2012. Gujarat is always known for celebrations be it Diwali, Navratri, Uttarayan or Janmashtami. Due to such a long vacation, major cities get vacated and people move to various destinations across the country, and even overseas too.

Diwali also marks the auspicious day for Jains. This is also the Nirvana divas of Lord Mahaveer. About 2535 years ago Lord Mahaveer got Nirvana and hence Jains offer Ladoo on this day in temples. We in Gujarat also celebrate new year  just next day to Diwali. Hence I wish a very happy and prosperous new year .

This Diwali I got the opportunity to visit Diu, a wonderful location on western coast of our country. It was great vacation for all of us.

Life is controlled by destiny. We propose, God disposes. All these comments are quite frequently experienced by all of us. We start the day with some plans and end with something else. We plan to do so many things in near future but end up with some thing different we never expected. It generates   frustration and eventually depression.
Year 2012 is quite challenging for me leaving behind lot of hard memories and education. One such year can mature a person and make him more humble. When I started career, never thought of journey like this starting from Jaipur to Mumbai to Ahmedabad in last 31 years. This journey gave lot of friends and relations and great satisfaction too. Sometimes I wonder how it all is happening. Every year day by day getting older and soon going to touch 50 with blessings of all. In turn kids also grow, they have learnt to live independently.
Today is Karwa Chouth, a hindu pious day when ladies do fast whole day for the good of their husbands and seek the blessings of the God that this husband should be in next life too. And we Husband? We never do such fast or any other kind of sacrifice for the wives, as far as I remember . I wish all the ladies doing Karwa Chouth, a very happy married life ahead and pray to god that their dreams come true.

Happy Dussehra

Friends
On the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, I wish all a Very Happy Dussehra and Pray that all your worries, grief, sufferings and sorrow be burnt with the evil spirit.

We are passing through the festival season these days. More particularly these nine days post Sraddh. Gujarat virtually dance almost till late night doing Garbha. People awake till late night. Today is last day of Navratri and tomorrow is Dussehra. Post this festival, Diwali is approaching and would keep people busy in that.

When we grow professionally, the responsibilities and experience also grow simultaneously. Wile performing the professional duties, we make many people happy and many others unhappy. Those unhappy may turn out to be foes in long run. We need to handle such issues very delicately.

I had dreamt to build a platform which can facilitate the funding activity smoothly, which can give better access to borrowers to right lenders and advisors. Also which can expand the finance market exponentially. My team is putting enormous efforts in making this dream come true and now I am assured this going to happen in very near future. Once it is developed, the traditional method of fund raising may change for the betterment of all. Then people would not have to depend on references to get the funds and also will not feel cheated by wrong advice.

Recently I finished a book "The Law of the Garbage Truck" by David Pollay. A great book about the attitude where neither we spread negativity nor allow others to spread negativity. The book can change the personality completely and lead to better life.

Laziness - Alasya

Friends
" Alasya Kutoh Vidya, Avidhya Kutoh Dhanam!
Adhanam Kutoh Mitram, Amitram kutoh Sukham!!"
I would add here " Asukham kutoh Jeevanam".

This is old sanskrit saying that Laziness is the obstacle for knowledge, Money cant be earned without knowledge, No friends without Money and thus no happiness without friends. I added "No life without happiness".

I presume this saying must be more than 1000 years old . Even in those days, we indians knew the importance of knowledge. In those days too our ancestors knew that Money is important ingredient for friendship or may be social relationships. Also that to be happy in life, we should have friends. Is n't it 100% fact in present days. So what has changed in last couple of thousand years? Have we grown beyond that or at the same level. Probably, we have gone down that level. Still we feel that we have made progress and reached to Moon or Mars. Probable one day we would reach to Sun also, but do you think above saying would change even 1%? I doubt and hence agree that laziness is one of the major cause for failure and dissatisfaction in the life. Another important thing from the above saying is that laziness in the initial years of education affects much more than the later on years and hence the saying about Vidya is more for the young students. I wish we teach them not to be lazy in initial years. It does not mean that laziness during lateral part of life is acceptable. Rather I would say that impact of laziness for earning members can be measured up easily.

UTTAM KSHAMA

Friends
On the auspicious occasion of  Kshama Vani Parva, I seek forgiveness for any of my acts, deeds or words (knowingly or unknowingly) which may hurt any body during the year. MICHHAMI DUKKADAM.
10 days festival of Jains is over now alongwith Ganeshotsav. Now the next festival will be of Navratri for 9 days which would follow the present Shraadh period of 15 days. The festivals are also coinciding with share market bullishness and wish that all the forthcoming festivals would be in good mood for every body.

Paryushan Parva

Friends
Most Sacred and biggest festival of Jains is Paryushan Parva. For Digamber Jains it starts from next day to Ganesh Chaturthi and ends on Anant Chatutrdashi. This 10 day festival is most sacred for jains. In all  sects of hindus, 10 days celebration is most common be it Navratri or Paryushan Parva. Due to its longivity of 10 days, this fesytival is also called Das Lakshan Parva. During the Parva  they read and discuss 10 virtues,  which are called the cardinal virtues. These cardinal virtues are the inherent qualities of a human soul.  The 10 cardinal virtues are :
1. FORGIVENESS (KSHAMA) - Total lack of anger.
2. HUMILITY (MARDAVA)  - Lack of pride.
3. STRAIGHT FORWARDNESS (ARJAVA) - Lack of cunning.
4. CONTENTMENT (SAUCH)-  Lack of greed.
5. TRUTHFULNESS (SATYA)  -  Lack of falsehood.
6. SELF-CONTROL (SAYAMA) - Control over physical  violence.
7. AUSTERITY (TAPPA)-  Austerity is repentance of one's sins.
8. RENUNCIATION (TYAGA)- Giving up possessions both internal and external.
9. DETACHMENT (APARIGRAHA)-  Lack of attachment.
10. CELIBACY (BRAHMACHARYA).

Most of the Jains strictly follow the Jainism during these days like no dinner after sunset, no use of onion, Garlic, Potato etc.

At  the conclusion of the festival, the followers  request each other for forgiveness for all offenses committed during the last year. This occurs on the the  Pratipada (first) of Ashwin Krashna for the Digambara. Also called Kshama Vani parva. Forgiving needs biggest courage and asking for forgiveness is most humble act. The festival clears the mental burden with no grudges and enmity with any one.

Year 2012-13 is taking its due. Last 3-4 months have been full of learning, of course not smooth. The challenges are all around may be God wants me to prepare for the next big leap in the career. Challenges are the best learning tools of our life. They force us to re look into ourselves, Plans, Strategies and so many reviews and revisions with in our selves. In my view when ever there are challenges, some positive things would also be around us to keep us going with full faith and confidence. Challenges also make us more mature, courageous, intelligent and cautious in life. No one is perfect and we as human beings are bound to make mistakes. Only smartness is into not repeating same mistakes and learn from the others' mistakes.

After long lull in the economy, all Political parties are now getting panic to retain their vote base and also to snatch from other parties. In all sense, general public would be benefited. It is good time for all of us may be short but still worth enjoying.

Responsibility multiplies when some one puts confidence in you for any new venture. When people put faith, it pushes us for giving the best and courage to fight till it is successful.

Wish you all Happy Janmashtami.
As we all know today is the Birth Day of Lord Krishna. We all know in what circumstance he took birth and how he was saved from the clutches of Kans. I am not going to tell anything about this very popular Episode of our life. The life of Lord Krishna was full of Action, Thrill, Diplomacy, Romance, Love, Friendship, might etc. Lord Krishna had imbibed all colors of life.
At one point of time in Mahabharata, the war was imminent and unavoidable. Lord Krishna was resting in a palace at Hastinapur where Yushisther was near to his head and Duryodhan at the feet. When he woke up, he first saw Duryodhan and hence gave the option of selecting either Lord Krishna's Army alongwith ammunition (which were too large ) or Lord Krishna himself. Duryodhan did not waste a single moment and asked for his Army alongwith amunition. He thought what is the use of taking a single person instead of Army of millions. Where as Yudhisther was happy with one single person i.e. Lord  Krishna. He knew the volume would not work only quality is important. The result is known to all of us. The morale of story is we should not focus volumes, quality is important. One person is more than millions if he has guts to stand in bad time and help to come out of the challenges. In fact Mahabharata Epic teaches lot of lessons of life.

Recently finished a book "Getting Things Done" by David Allen. A wonderful book about self discipline and productivity. The book minutely takes through various aspects of day today activities where we mess up with   so many things and papers. The book shows the way to keep the find free from pending issues and focus on key activities. This is a very useful book for every one who wants to increase productivity and grow fast.

At the fag end of June, every one has gone back to their habitats. After my visit to Rameshwaram, Dubai etc., things are getting back to normal. The shock of loosing Hemant is still severe and may take some time before getting it normal. Kids are back to their current locations , Nikita in Bangalore and Hitisha in Pune. It is big vacuum in office and at home. This is life where every day is different and full of challenges. It is full of happiness, sadness, tension, pleasure etc. Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. Time is a big healer and it works magically for every one.
The sanskars taught to us are always guiding force to face any situation in life. We should not think to grow at others' cost, by hurting or damaging others, by betraying with some one. It would never last long and one day back fire. Better create our own space and identity for better and long standing growth.

Deep Condolence
Exactly about 53 hours back (8.10 am 0n 7.06.12), he was on the way to home after playing Cricket with his friends. On the way he went to see the progress of an under constructed property opposite his house. In minutes he fell down from the 4th Floor and soon succumbed. This was my most confident person, Hemant Sariya, a very dynamic person of about 33 years of age. His wife and daughter were still out on vacation and he had come back after joining them for about 5 days. It was most shocking for all of us to see him in the worst situation. He did not have any bad habits, was very cool and calm. With in minutes, every thing collapsed. His parents, wife, daughter, friends, colleagues and all known persons felt the worst shock of their life. Death of person leaves many other dependent persons high and dry and ruins all the dreams of life. Suddenly,  every thing stops and gradually starts deteriorating. Professionally , I was totally dependent on him and still cant believe his demise. It is just like beginning from scratch. It may not be possible for me to find such a nice person in life again. God is supreme and we humans don't have control on this. we are puppet and can only pray to the almighty to let the departed soul in peace and give enough strength to the bereaved family to bear this loss.

In January, 2007, he was referred to me by one common friend for job and once selected, he offered to join after a month because he was about to get marry. I happily accepted the proposal and since then, i.e. Feb. 2007, he was with me. Gradually with his good behaviour and hard working, he took full command of all the professional issues making me totally dependent on him. It is unbearable loss for me and all the staff members.

Sun directly hitting earth these days. At least Gujarat and Rajasthan are facing heat at its peak. Southern India is now witnessing monsoon and hence some relief from summer that side. It would take another 15-20 days before Monsoon arrives in Gujarat. Till then let us enjoy sun and heat. June is going to be full of activities for me  due to lot of travelling. The month is planned for travelling to lot many locations in addition to the routine travel to Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai, new additions are to Bangalore, Tirupati, Rameshwaram, Madurai and Dubai. Let us see how is the experience of all these trips which are combination of Business and Family  both.

"Marriages are fixed in heaven and executed on this earth" . And if these are executed in our country, it is for life long not like western countries, where it is like a Chinese product, . We, Indians, are blessed with a great culture where this is made possible despite lot of turbulence and challenges. Globally Indians were known and praised for this. It seems gradually, God is getting fed up with this responsibility and now delegating this power to we Indians. The repercussion of this is now being felt across the society. Large number of incidences are being witnessed of failing marriage even before it gets start. Tolerance, Greed, high expectation and copying of others is taking its toll on every thing be it health, family, finances, society etc. Now the longivity of marriage is more like a Chinese product which looks good in packing but worst in performance. Hundreds of cases are coming in knowledge of quick failure of marriage causing great pain to every one. Internet and Mobile phones are adding fuel to fire and thus the result is Catastrophic. we as society members should do something to save our children from this pathetic situation. We should collectively think to save this social fabric otherwise soon Indian society would become extinct.

May month can be termed as relaxed month for the children and housewives mainly. With closing of educational institutions, there is all around vacation mood. This also leads to movement of people (mainly children and ladies) to different locations. Fortunately, my home also witnessed presence of my sisters and their children. When a house is filled with children it creates positive vibrations all over. Lot of laughs, music, masti and all. Remembering old golden days, memoirs of various relatives and exchanging of views with each others. These days kids are very smart and they teach so many things. Meanwhile, we got the opportunity to go to Gir jungle, famous for Asiatic Lions. It was wonderful experience of not only seeing lions in free jungle but also living in a village with least comfort,  having local food is greatest experience.

Summer is at its peak and it is expected to remain high during the whole month. This hotness is not reflecting in business so far. Actions are missing with economy going down day by day and confidence vapourising. May be it would be a long journey before we enter into boom period. Till then opportunities would come in plenty but depends how we grab.

Economic scenario in the country is getting dim day by day. Government's policies, Industrial growth, inflation, rate of interest, capital inflow, share market etc. all are indicating towards ongoing recessionary trend in economy. Confidence in the business community is very low and no one knows when this would improve. Probably, if we get good Monsoon, it may start recovering near Diwali. At that time some states including Gujarat will be deep down in election atmosphere. To lure the voters such states may also play positive role for economic development.  Let us hope for the best at least for 1/4th part of the current year.

Recently finished a book "Will Power - Rediscovering our greatest strength" by Roy F. Baumeister & John Tierney. A wonderful book fully focused on Will Power, Self Control, decision making and Positive attitude. The book analyses in depth human psychology in relation to thought process, discipline, controls and will power and further shows the ways to handle and improve the same. Though it is a good book for those interested in human psychology but bit tough in language.

Stress & It's Bursters

Friends
Recently one of my friend got into some tension and ultimately lead to Brain hemorrhage. Now since 5 days lying in ICU under serious condition. I wish he gets back fully cured as this hi-tech medical progress is supposed to tackle such situations carefully. What can be the reasons or circumstances for such situation? This happens mainly when there is a tension and I believe out of 10 reasons 9 are related to money only.  We come in this world and with in 2-3 years are pushed to education for the next 20 years minimum. This leads to career in profession and mostly in dislocation from the parents and family.  We move to a place where there is no social curtain to save a person from day to day tensions.  The nuclear families (2*2) or even less than this  has no place for stress bursting.  No doubt the stress is there in every one's life day in day out. In business/profession, family, neighbour, society and so on, there are many reasons for stress and no one can avoid that. We can reduce its density but can not fully remove from our life. I believe it is everywhere but only difference is that the system of its' bursting is not same. When we are surrounded by the society, lot of close relatives, old friends, teachers etc., they help in refreshing the mind and hence bursting the stress. Where as wehen we live in a nuclear family, no one is there to burst the stress. At the most we can watch TV or read books or share with spoue and children but there would be always limitation. This situation leads to physical and mental ailments like brain hemorrhage or heart attack.  We are advised many ways of stress bursting like meditation, yoga, watching TV, movies, games or reading books. Although we can not create hte ageold social thick umbrella, but by using some techniques, we can definitely burst the stress. In addition to the above reasonfs, some other methods like talking to childhood/school friends, visiting that old tea stall, cycling, old office collegues, wearing old jeans, listening radio/transister, some get together with family and friends can be of great help to burst the stress and shall be used very frequently.  Positive attitude and  humbleness would definitely help in keeping stress low.

I have a park near my house. This park has multiple uses like from 4.30 to 8.00 am for morning walkers, yoga people and all matured and busy people. After 8am it is replaced by kids or deserted for some time.  By 10 it is again occupied by some people for taking rest or waiting for some one. Later in afternoon hardly any body would be found there napping under tree . By late afternoon or evening it is filled with ladies chatting and walking. The same park then hosts people who walk post lunch and children for playing. The Park gets vacant by 11 pm and if some one is there it would not taken as civilized and social behaviour. I was wondering about the Park which is there but its importance and usage changes with time. If the timings are changed or People change their schedule, it would be never taken in positive way. Similarly, the role we play in life should also as per the time , age and situation. A student earning, a man sitting at home or an old man running pillar to post whole day would not be appreciated by the society. As we grow older, the behaviour should be more matured and  the discipline has to be adhered to more strictly. Our Body is like a Park which ,if  maintained properly with discipline, will help us in living longer or else like a Park if not maintained can be destroyed. The only difference between Park and Body is that Park can not suggest the ways to maintain it whereas our Body can guide us to maintain in desired way. The Body (or Park for that matter) can be a beautiful place with good education, positive attitude, knowledge, experience and social status.

Yesterday, a class 5th student (Girl) aged12 years committed suicide in Ahmedabad due to little bit poor performance in class. She hanged herself in the room as she felt that the pressure of parents after such poor performance would be intolerable. This shocking news forced me to think the level of pressure, we, parents put on kids. Just imagine how a little kid of 12 years would have been forced to perform through out the year and also may have cited the examples of torture for poor performance.  This is really a crime which in present world parents are doing knowingly or unknowingly. I understand that children should be aware of the value of education but it should not be taught in such a way that they feel that except good marks in academic there is nothing left. History has proved time and again that academic performance plays a very small role in overall performance in hum,an life. Rather those who perform poor in academic, do excel mostly in other areas of life . How it matters if our kids get lesser marks than others'? If we give good sanskars, it would never affect anything.  We should give serious thoughts to our behaviour and priorities to save the coming generation from getting depressed otherwise it would have serious consequence.

Writing blog at this time indicates my independence at home too as Shashi has gone to Gaziabad for 4 days leaving me here alone.

This is first post of new financial year 2012-13. The year 2011-12 has just gone by leaving lot of memories of dull market, incompetency of the Government, scams and scandals, political uncertainty and so on. Over all the year 2011-12 was not very positive in any sense. The fag end of the last financial year had left some positive signs for the current year and I am confident that 2012-13 would be best year for all of us. In the first week I travel to Bangalore and Chennai and the trend is expected to continue for couple of months at least. I wish  to makeup the short fall of 2011-12 along with the projected plans for the current year. Thus 2012-13 will have pressure of two years. I pray to God to help me in achieving this.

Exam fever is still going on and shall continue till the end of this month. Kids would be free in May only till then we have to wait and wish for their success.

WILL POWER

Friends
Will Power and self control are the basic ingredient for a successful life be it -a happy family, good friends, satisfying career, financial security and the freedom to pursue passion. Nothing is possible without will power and self control. Wherever we need to put efforts and focus, Will Power is must otherwise mind will not allow body to act. Similarly Self Control will help in persuasion and consistency in efforts. Will Power, Self control and Positive Attitude would lead to better efforts and gaining knowledge. Finally success would emerge out  if we add perseverance and consistency. Will Power will not allow to deter or dissuade from achieving goal. It would also generate self control. These factors are very important for every one of us be it student, professionals, sportsman, entertainer etc.

With March coming to end, the roles are changing fast. Many small kids would be soon starting to enter in education trap which would go on for next 20 years, those already in this trap would get elevated with results coming out. We professionals would have fresh feeling with great plans new financial year, Politicians and Bureaucrates would be looking for fresh budget allocations  to play with in the whole year.

Most of the time people feel happy about Saturday,  Sunday and grudge from Monday morning. Regularly  also when they come from office feel tired, complain about the work they did whole day and just lie down on in drawing room. They feel happy looking at calender, counting holidays, planning to mix some working and some holidays and plan for the whole year. Also they feel happier when do not go office. If we analyze it deeply, we would notice that this becomes a cause of negative growth and dangerous to health. Why not enjoy the office and work where we enjoy lot of privileges, like sitting comfortably in cabin, every service available just a bell away, we can read , write, listen and watch on our own,  no need to pick up the phones, answering calls on our wish and top of that we earn money. I suppose such luxury may not be available at home all the time. With these benefits why not enjoy the work, grow faster, earn more and fulfill the dreams of family in better way. We need to just change the way of feeling only and see the wonder.

Month of March, April are challenging for students to perform , so most of the kids are busy and stressed. Education is must but the fight for higher percentage is undesirable. In life those who get lesser would also get lot of opportunities to excel even after completion of  education so no need to get panic or stressed or depressed.

WISH A VERY HAPPY & COLORFUL HOLI.
Friends
On this auspicious occasion of Holi, I wish a very happy and colorful life ahead. With color on face, every one looks same. Every one is so happy, humble and forgiving all harsh moments that passed. We look forward to fresh start with no zealousness in mind. One thing I would like to say that these sand /Gulal paints the ego and proud for some time making every one same. It is really difficult to recognise a person fully colored from tip to toe, informally dressed with no gizmos in hand. This situation even for few hours in the whole year connects him to the roots. During this time of 3-4 hours, we become absolute informal by nature, equal and friendly. What a great festival in our Hindu tradition. Our ancestors must have definitely thought a lot about our nature, culture, daily routines and then specified every festival differently. Our festivals are a bouquet of every thing if you see minutely, covering every aspect of life, family and society.
It is great feeling, may be for few hours, to become informal and enjoy with every one such a great festival.

Attitude is the result and reason of every thing happened or destined to be happened. In fact attitude decides the destiny.  It is like a car steering which decides the destination of car. It can make you or ruin you. Generally we believe that education or knowledge is the deciding factor of one's life but that is not true. Let us analyse some more. If A is (1) word of english alphabet, Z is (26). If we assign the numbers to the spellings of these words, just see what is result:
1. EDUCATION =5+4+21+3+1+20+9+15+14=92
2. KNOWLEDGE= 11+14+15+23+12+5+4+7+5=96
3. ATTITUDE =1+20+20+9+20+21+4+5=100
See above, only attitude could reach to 100. Do we need more analysis? Here are some key punches of attitude:
1. I'm in the business of winning and business is good.
2.Winners make it happen..Losers let it happen.
3. If nothing changes...nothing changes.
4. Some work at it, some fake it, some even do courses on it , but me...I was just born with it.
5.The only thing champions have in common are their dreams.
6. It's not whether you get knocked down... it's whether you get back up.
7. A positive anything is better than a negative nothing.
8. It's none of my business what you think of me.
9. Don't tell me what you have done...show me what you can do.
10.The game is not over until I win.
11. No limits, no excuses, no ifs, no buts...just attitude.
12. The impossible is what no body can do until some body does it.
13. Obstacles are what you see when you take your eyes off your goals.

Unfortunately, we have institutions for education and knowledge but nothing for attitude. We learn it from either our mistakes or some body else's.

Being alone at home is giving me feeling of "house husband". I am alone today because Shashi has gone to Jaipur. This time is good for self introspection, planning and thinking about various issues. One thing I noticed these days is that one should use the available resources, be it Money, Time, Relationships or any other visible and invisible asset to its optimum level. whatever resources we have are not long lasting. They are limited in quantity and for limited period. Those who use to its optimum are successful and those who dont are loosers. It does not mean to exploit or use for illegitimate purposes, but only legitimately. Time goes, resources vaporises and we are left with repentness only. Neither resources nor time is going to wait or alert us.
As I mentioned in my recent post, the decision making is very crucial in such circumstance and we need to understand the decision making tools and process carefully.

The gap of more than 20 days in writing blog marks the clear cut indication of lazy ness. Past three weeks have witnessed lot of travelling, cold weather and stress to some extent. The activities in finance sector are at its peak due to the year end approaching after a month. The finance market is too tight and most of the sectors are under performing. With shrinking margins and liquidity tightness, the demand of money has arisen suddenly.

In these days we partially got together with Nikita in Bangalore and Hitisha in Ahmedabad. I also did finish a small book "Yes or No" by Spencer Johnson. The book is written by the same author who wrote "Who moved my Cheese". A very useful book written in very short and story format but with full focus on teaching the techniques to use while taking decisions in life. The book is useful guide for better decisions. As per the book while taking decisions we should ask one practical question to head and one personal question to heart. The questions are:
1. Practical Question to Head:
" Am I meeting the real need, informing myself of options, and thinking it through?
2. Personal Question to Heart:
" Does my decisions show I am honest with myself, Trust my intuition, and Deserve better?

The books gives detailed analysis of the above questions and may be very helpful in taking better decisions. Decision taking is much easier after reading such kind of books and also it gives feel of some guilt on certain decision of life which were taken in haste and without giving proper thought before taking some decisions in past.

Friends
yesterday one of my friend's uncle expired after long illness. He was just 67 years with two bright Sons. One of the Son is settled in USA and the other in Delhi. Both are in their 30s building career as has been taught by the parents. Father of these sons sacrificed every thing to build excellent career for these kids. In last some years, after good job and marriage both kids had started giving trouble to parents. The situation led them to live separately for some time when situation was not even allowing them to live separately in same city, they came to Ahmedabad and started living in a rented house. I met them couple of months ago when both elderly couples were struggling to live the life in Ahmedabad. They had some money because of selling some property, so kids had some interest and hence called to Delhi. Not only did they fight with old parents but also behaved cruelly. Very soon in few days they were forced to go back Ahmedabad. Finally then Man succumbed and left the wife alone to fight in this world. This Man used to carry Oxygen cylinder along with him as the lungs were almost 80% damaged. The man died and funeral had to be done after the arrival of these two great sons.
It is really painful to see in this world how the greed spoils every thing. Why a boy remains son only till marriage and suddenly starts changing. Why the sons/daughters should look for the money from parents once they are settled forgetting the fact how parents did manage every thing? Why such greed? Life is mirror and whatever we give, we get. Every thing is here only and this fact should be understood by all of us. I feel it is also due to wrong planning on part of parents who shower every thing to their kids sand dont think of the old age. They pamper the kids to such an extent that the kids dont remain kids. They feel themselves much bigger than the parents and finally forget everything. It may also be due to Sanskars we seed in them.

Joining the 50's club after one year gives feeling of maturity. Today I have completed 49yrs. It was too cold, temperature about 2-3 degree and the clouds were not allowing the sun to embrace the earth, Cold wave was at its sharpest edge. In those days communication and transportation systems were almost at the nascent stage. Medical facilities were non existent except in big cities. My father had not yet completed LLB and was about to commence professional career. My maternal d my side next generation was yet to start as my mother was eldest child in their joint family. My birth at 10.00 AM on 27.01.1963 broke the ice frozen since years and elevated every one by one slot. Brothers became Mama, Chacha and sisters Mausi and Bua. But the biggest elevation was to the parents who became Nana-Nani and Dada-Dadi. It was more exciting for Nana-Nani as my cousins had already elevated some people in paternal side to Dada-Dadi.
Childhood was more of like lower middle class with completely rural back ground. It was full of scarcity, challenges and without luxury and comfort. But joint families take care of every thing and one never feel the scarcity. That made my childhood very comfortable. After 2 years of my birth we moved to Tonk and returned back to Jaipur in 1971 when I was 8 years. Parents run the family in a very small budget, I wonder how they did every thing sacrificing every comfort of the world for kids for almost next 25 years. I can't repay this debt in my life.

After long time, recently finished a Book "Does He know a mother's heart?" by Arun Shourie. The book is detailed analysis about the god, his role in all actions and reactions and events. Due to extreme analysis and details, I found this book bit difficult to read and hence had to skip many pages.
After Makar Sakranti, there are actions in all the areas. Politicians are busy in elections in UP, Punjab, Uttarakhanad etc. Literature festival in Jaipur has become political platform, Mr. Kalmadi is out and Raja may follow soon, Share market is in positive mode, RBI has released about Rs. 35000 Crs. in the sysytem by reducing the CRR ratess, Rupee has also become stronger in last fortnight. Atmosphere though cold but in positive mode. Let us hope this situation would further ijmprove for better.

Uttarayan/Makar Sakranti in North India and Pongal in Southern India is very pious day as per Hindu culture. The day marks the end of almost 30 days of Kamurtas. During last 30 days, no new investment or marriage are done as per hindu rituals. Makar Sakranti is also known for kite festival.

Kites are very dangerous for the birds as thousands of flying birds are trapped in kite strings and loose their life. Also lot of accidents due to kites are witnessed in almost all the cities. Most of the festivals in our culture stated with fun and enjoyment but gradually these are becoming dangerous to our nature. Kites kills many birds and people, Holi is famous fo its notoriety and also dangerous colors bring hazards to the people. During Diwali, the crackers cause lot of sound pollution and fires. We should celebrate all the festivals as per our original tradition keeping in mind the safety of nature and other living things.

I noticed that the interest in all these festivals get eroded gradually with the age. In childhood we celebrate all the festivals with full of joy but when we grow older, the interest gets faded and we divert ourselves in different directions. Very few people keep the interest live and enjoy continuously all the festivals. May be we get trapped into so many things/issues which dont allow us to keep the interest intact in festivals.

Winter season is at its peak these days and most of the northern part of the country is virtually seized under cold. It is pathetic to see the street people wrapped into torn clothes or surrounding the bonfires whole night. It is the cost of failure they are paying. Believe me cost of failure is always much higher than the prices of success.

I am writing after almost one month. Last month was more of stress and kept me busy without any concrete achievements. But finally at the fag end of the year, rather last week of the year, I went on vacation to Dubai. It was wonderful stress buster. Dubai is developed under autocratic system where no politics involved and law is strictly implemented. This has resulted into fast growth and well disciplined life. It is truly said that "Bhaya Bin Preet na Hoye". Discipline without fear is impossible.

Travelling in these days is more towards vacation or for social reasons.Vacations are always good but post vacation we feel the need to run fast to make up the lost time and opportunity.
Today again going to Jaipur.

Mental Slaveness
