A farmer was going to pilgrimage bare footed. He found a Dog from his village was also going to same place. He asked the dog, why you going to pilgrimage. He said I am going to wash out my sins and also want to become one of the few successful dogs in my community who have visited so far in their life. This would also help me in guiding the other dogs to venture into new world. The farmer said it would take about a month to reach to the pilgrimage place because he was going on foot only. The dog said that it would take him about a year to reach that destination. The farmer was surprised that how come so much time to a dog who can run faster. He asked the dog would you get tired or what is the other reason of reaching so late. The dog replied " No, I would not get tired but my colleagues, relatives, and all known and unknown dogs would pull my legs and stop me from going further and in that struggle it would take so much time. In all the passing villages I would be resisted from entering and exiting and hence in that struggle, I would be hurt, may remain hungry too and waste lot of time." The farmer understood the reasons and noticed that even we humans behave same way. During the struggle period or success path there would be lot of challenges from the relatives, nears and dear ones, peers, competitors and all who would try to pull our legs and try every thing to stop us. This is life and we should take it in positive way to move faster to the desired destination.

Yesterday was Karwa Chouth. Ladies pray for long and healthy life for husbands. The keep fast and only in evening after seeing Moon they break it. They seek blessings of moon not only for the good of their husbands but also for giving the same relationship in next birth too. Only ladies can have such a commitment and devotion. Mostly ladies keep fasts on other occasion too and pray for the goodness of the family. What men do? In fact nothing except commenting on the social systems. In paper I saw one photo of two women meeting to their husbands in a jail in Punjab. Naturally they were praying for the good for their husbands. In many cases men don't treat the women fairly still they pray for their goodness. They keep fast so many times in a year, sacrifice a lot and other side men just take it for granted. Men should also pray for the goodness of their wives on a particular day. I don't know why this day was not made by we Hindus. We should do some thing in this direction may be with some amendments.

Wealth Vs. Knowledge

Friends
We Hindus worship many god and goddess every day. Mata Lakshmi is symbol of wealth and Mata Saraswati is for Knowledge. All of you must have noticed that a child starts life with blessings of Maa Saraswati and suddenly when he gets degree or any qualification he forgets her and joins the other side of Maa Lakshmi. During most of his life he remains towards the side of wealth and rarely takes side of knowledge. His identity also gets status as per the wealth size he possesses. His name, position, fame, character, personalty every thing reflects only and only the size of his wealth. I wonder why knowledge is not given due weight age as compared to wealth. We always hear the names of fortune 500 companies, wealthiest people, Rich and famous etc. Next to that is the list of beautiful women, handsome men, sexiest personalities and all. But never I heard about the list of most knowledgeable people or companies. Or the list of highly qualified professors or the list top educationist who produced highest number of successful people etc. etc.
Rather we notice that a person is often called by different names during his life time. During childhood I used to hear a story of a man named Parshuram. He was so poor that his parents could hardly manage both ends meet. No one used to respect him despite he was always first in the class. He got good degree but for some time he was searching job. He was called as Parshya. Gradually he got a nice job and started earning some thing, people started loving him and changed the name to Parshu. After some time he made some name and wealth and this led to change his name to Parshuram. But when he earned good wealth and status, people began calling him by the name Parashuramji even by the people of much older age. He did not give anything to the society and all these changes were just due to change in his wealth. After becoming Parshuramji he started doing some charity to the society and added another feature in the name of 'Seth or Saheb'. This is the miracle of Maa Lakshmi's side. Even in Lakshmiji's Aarti we get a line "Jis ghar tharo Vaaso vahi mai gunn aata, Kar na sake soi karle Mann nahi dhadkata'. I wish to ask all of you, would this be possible in case of knowledge. I doubt. Surprising na.

Another day another game. It starts in the morning with wake up call. The mind starts working and plan for the day. What to wear, what to say, where to go, how to handle various issues and all....It is end number things which starts cropping up in the mind. It is not that the game we play is only in business life even in the social life too we play lot of games whole day and night. We talk about religion, food habits, ethics, culture and so many good issues but follow none. In fact we are ready to give fitting reply on any matter which can benefit us irrespective of the loss other people may suffer.
Life is a game which starts with our birth and have to be played till the last breath. Depends how good we play it. Those who take this as game and just play without thinking of the win or loss, play longer and those who get fear of losing game play for much shorter period. Only attitude decides the longevity and success of the game.

Last post on the blog was on 18th September, i.e. about 13days back. Every time put something on blog, I promise my self to be regular in future. The promise is made and forgotten soon the post is over. Then I look at it every day and think for couple of minutes and scroll back to some other web pages. I convince myself for why I am not regular in writing on the blog but there is no real reason for such a long absentism except lack of focus on my part. We are busy but never so much that working hours are shot, we travel a lot but never continuously for such a long period. After 18th Sept. Navratri festival alongwith Dussehra was celebrated. Navratri in Gujarat is more important due to mass garba dances and pooja. The festive mood takes front seat in every sphere of life and suddenly the city awakes whole night. Then it ended with Dussehra when long Que can be noticed in the shops for Fafda Jalebi. Gujarat has a strong celebration culture irrespective to the caste, creed, rich, poor any thing. Every one immediately moulds into festive mood and also very fast revert backs to the work. The power of bouncing back is quite apparent here. People believe in moving further without sticking up in something irrelevant.
In school days we used to play the Ramleela as a game and boy who was fat or ugly used to be Ravan. Every one else was interested in becoming Ram only and rarely we got anyone to be Sita. Generally boys used to play this game at home. The Ravan used to get lot of beatings and had to pretend to die. Interesting part used to be of Kumbhkaran, Ravan's Brother for whom we used to bring some thing to eat and till his role was over no one could touch that sweet and other food items. But this Kumbhkaran never left anything for others to eat. He knew till the role is being played no one can object to him.
Even in professional life too there are many Kumbhkarans, who rarely allow others to eat some thing. Till the things are in their command they would ensure to suck every penny and only the leftovers are shared by others. No one pose as Ravan otherwise his survival would be challenged but who knows the reality. I dont mean that there are no Ram or good characters but mostly we come across with are Ravans. Ravan kidnapped sita but in professional life the assignments or the clients are Sita and they become victim. We all are playing Ramleela in real life too. Till not caught we are Ram and if caught then become Ravan. This is life and have to be lived like this only.
