Economic scenario in the country is getting dim day by day. Government's policies, Industrial growth, inflation, rate of interest, capital inflow, share market etc. all are indicating towards ongoing recessionary trend in economy. Confidence in the business community is very low and no one knows when this would improve. Probably, if we get good Monsoon, it may start recovering near Diwali. At that time some states including Gujarat will be deep down in election atmosphere. To lure the voters such states may also play positive role for economic development.  Let us hope for the best at least for 1/4th part of the current year.

Recently finished a book "Will Power - Rediscovering our greatest strength" by Roy F. Baumeister & John Tierney. A wonderful book fully focused on Will Power, Self Control, decision making and Positive attitude. The book analyses in depth human psychology in relation to thought process, discipline, controls and will power and further shows the ways to handle and improve the same. Though it is a good book for those interested in human psychology but bit tough in language.

Stress & It's Bursters

Friends
Recently one of my friend got into some tension and ultimately lead to Brain hemorrhage. Now since 5 days lying in ICU under serious condition. I wish he gets back fully cured as this hi-tech medical progress is supposed to tackle such situations carefully. What can be the reasons or circumstances for such situation? This happens mainly when there is a tension and I believe out of 10 reasons 9 are related to money only.  We come in this world and with in 2-3 years are pushed to education for the next 20 years minimum. This leads to career in profession and mostly in dislocation from the parents and family.  We move to a place where there is no social curtain to save a person from day to day tensions.  The nuclear families (2*2) or even less than this  has no place for stress bursting.  No doubt the stress is there in every one's life day in day out. In business/profession, family, neighbour, society and so on, there are many reasons for stress and no one can avoid that. We can reduce its density but can not fully remove from our life. I believe it is everywhere but only difference is that the system of its' bursting is not same. When we are surrounded by the society, lot of close relatives, old friends, teachers etc., they help in refreshing the mind and hence bursting the stress. Where as wehen we live in a nuclear family, no one is there to burst the stress. At the most we can watch TV or read books or share with spoue and children but there would be always limitation. This situation leads to physical and mental ailments like brain hemorrhage or heart attack.  We are advised many ways of stress bursting like meditation, yoga, watching TV, movies, games or reading books. Although we can not create hte ageold social thick umbrella, but by using some techniques, we can definitely burst the stress. In addition to the above reasonfs, some other methods like talking to childhood/school friends, visiting that old tea stall, cycling, old office collegues, wearing old jeans, listening radio/transister, some get together with family and friends can be of great help to burst the stress and shall be used very frequently.  Positive attitude and  humbleness would definitely help in keeping stress low.

I have a park near my house. This park has multiple uses like from 4.30 to 8.00 am for morning walkers, yoga people and all matured and busy people. After 8am it is replaced by kids or deserted for some time.  By 10 it is again occupied by some people for taking rest or waiting for some one. Later in afternoon hardly any body would be found there napping under tree . By late afternoon or evening it is filled with ladies chatting and walking. The same park then hosts people who walk post lunch and children for playing. The Park gets vacant by 11 pm and if some one is there it would not taken as civilized and social behaviour. I was wondering about the Park which is there but its importance and usage changes with time. If the timings are changed or People change their schedule, it would be never taken in positive way. Similarly, the role we play in life should also as per the time , age and situation. A student earning, a man sitting at home or an old man running pillar to post whole day would not be appreciated by the society. As we grow older, the behaviour should be more matured and  the discipline has to be adhered to more strictly. Our Body is like a Park which ,if  maintained properly with discipline, will help us in living longer or else like a Park if not maintained can be destroyed. The only difference between Park and Body is that Park can not suggest the ways to maintain it whereas our Body can guide us to maintain in desired way. The Body (or Park for that matter) can be a beautiful place with good education, positive attitude, knowledge, experience and social status.

Yesterday, a class 5th student (Girl) aged12 years committed suicide in Ahmedabad due to little bit poor performance in class. She hanged herself in the room as she felt that the pressure of parents after such poor performance would be intolerable. This shocking news forced me to think the level of pressure, we, parents put on kids. Just imagine how a little kid of 12 years would have been forced to perform through out the year and also may have cited the examples of torture for poor performance.  This is really a crime which in present world parents are doing knowingly or unknowingly. I understand that children should be aware of the value of education but it should not be taught in such a way that they feel that except good marks in academic there is nothing left. History has proved time and again that academic performance plays a very small role in overall performance in hum,an life. Rather those who perform poor in academic, do excel mostly in other areas of life . How it matters if our kids get lesser marks than others'? If we give good sanskars, it would never affect anything.  We should give serious thoughts to our behaviour and priorities to save the coming generation from getting depressed otherwise it would have serious consequence.

Writing blog at this time indicates my independence at home too as Shashi has gone to Gaziabad for 4 days leaving me here alone.

This is first post of new financial year 2012-13. The year 2011-12 has just gone by leaving lot of memories of dull market, incompetency of the Government, scams and scandals, political uncertainty and so on. Over all the year 2011-12 was not very positive in any sense. The fag end of the last financial year had left some positive signs for the current year and I am confident that 2012-13 would be best year for all of us. In the first week I travel to Bangalore and Chennai and the trend is expected to continue for couple of months at least. I wish  to makeup the short fall of 2011-12 along with the projected plans for the current year. Thus 2012-13 will have pressure of two years. I pray to God to help me in achieving this.

Exam fever is still going on and shall continue till the end of this month. Kids would be free in May only till then we have to wait and wish for their success.
