Once upon a time a little cub lost in jungle and was abandoned by a shepherd. The shepherd took care of the cub along with the sheep and goats. The cub started growing but the habits were like sheep or goats. He used to eat and drink same whatever the sheep were being given to eat.The shepherd used to tame him with a small stick and never could retort. One day the shepherd took all the cattle to jungle. During the day they were drinking water in a pond. On the other side of the pond there were couple of lions. The cub saw them and then to himself. Again and again he repeatedly saw himself and the lions on the other side. He thought they look like me and rule the jungle. They don't fear of anyone where as I am here with sheep and goats who are totally different from me. They fear of every one and are tamed by a small stick. Then what I am doing here? I should have been with the lions and rule the jungle. He roared loudly and noticed that all the sheep and goats ran away. He jumped to the other side of the pond ran towards the lions. The cub was made to behave like sheep by the shepherd and till he came to know the fact that he is a lion, he remained like sheep, fearing every one on this earth. The moment he recognised himself, he came out of the shell and behaving in his natural way.
Above story reminded me of many incidences where we locked our self in a comfort zone and started behaving like the other colleagues. In such situation we would continue to be free from mental tension but never enjoy the freedom of jungle. Better we recognise ourselves and jump in the risky water for which we are made up. It is very tough to break the shell but believe me it gives great enjoyment to come out of the shell and live freely.
Today evening going to Jaipur to parents for couple of days and then would go to Bangalore for some office work. So I would be out of my own shell (Office) till 9th November.
