Failure and success two sides of a coin

It is human nature to be happy and celebrate the success while cursing failure. Generally the ratio of failure and success is 10:90 meaning that number of failures are 9 times more than success . It may be lesser too like 05:95. If we recount failures and success of the life, we will notice that a successful person will be having success ratio of 05:95 or may be lesser . We get frustrated or depressed even if the success ratio is as high as 10:90. In fact, we expect success in every action which can't happen.

What makes the successful person different from others is that they are happy with ratio of 05:95 but the volume of their efforts makes number if success higher. This mantra of increasing the efforts and taking more failures is known to every one but we don't take it when failures knocks us. Rather we curse the failure and get depressed instead of greeting failures . Success can not come alone it has to come with failures and hence despite poor ratio gives immense pleasure whenever we get success. If we getting failures and efforts are continue, believe me success is just very near and can come any time.
The key yo improve the success ratio is only and only  one and that is more failures. Every failure takes you towards the success. People get frustrated when they continuously get failures and leave the efforts but one should not forget that if the cluster of failures is knocking down us, many success are approaching you if you are continuing the efforts.

Mental Slaveness

Friends, I wish to share with you my views on current situation of  " Mental Slaveness" . It is a situation where the mindset, thoughts, views, concepts of a person are changed remotely.
Initially physical human interactions were only source of knowledge sharing which used to affect the thought process. Later the remote tools like print media, books etc became major source of thought process of human beings. Today, electronic media has surpassed all the other methods of thought process. Electronic media laced with lethal electronic gadgets rules the contents, informations, knowledge etc. Electronic gadgets were invented for the benefits of the humans but now these demons have taken away the peace and privacy . These gadgets are integral part of the electronic media who knows every thing about you and immensely affect your thought process.
It is said that if a false thing is repeated 100 times,  we will start believing it. Most of the humans became slave of media who decides what we should watch, think and behave in life. This is a perfect situation of  "mental slaveness" of the humans . It changes your attitude, character, thoughts, opinion etc.
Last 8-9 months of pandemic has added fuel to the fire of this slaveness. There are lots of restriction on interactions and knowledge sharing which has given immense edge to the electronic media to build the clout.
The mental slaveness may be a dangerous phenomenon which may affect the humans life adversely for Long period. It may be misused for radicalisation of masses and  change the thought process and mental state permanently for complete generation. It's wide reach and deep impact is lethal for the human beings. This may have irreparable damage to the human societies.
If you ask me the solution to this than I concede, no idea. I can only suggest for lowering dependency on these gadgets, more and more knowledge sharing and more human interactions with open mindedness and humility.

Teachings of Ramayana

Friends
In this lockdown period we are watching Ramayana & Mahabharata epic serials daily. While watching these serials I noticed following 10 teachings from Ramayana Epic:

1. Time is Supreme: There is no King, Raja, Maharaja and all. Everything is Time. Life travels thru a different phase of time. Whether you are King, Prince or Bhakta there is no smooth route of this journey. You may have born in palaces but end up in Jungle .

2. Never Give Blank Promise ( Vars given by Raja Dashrath) : Whatever you committing , be specific  about the offer and time too. even if it is your spouse. You may end up with life and Sons in Jungle. It may cost dearly to the whole family.

3.  When in trouble no planning works: Troubles are alone rather they  come in flock, whereas the Happiness is always alone. It is said that troubles are Baratis and Happiness is Groom. Whatever be your planning, how so ever strong one may be , things would not in your control You may be lured to hunt a fake golden deer and end up losing your wife. No Laxman Rekha will be useful in bad time.

4. When in Need, the support will be from unknown sources: One may be most powerful but when in trouble, he may not access to his support system. Nobody will support you in worst time, it is your fight , you win or loose. Bhagwan Ram could not get support of powerful Ayodhya when Mata Sita was kidnapped by Ravana. Even no human being came forward to support him. However, when he got the support it was totally unknown sources i.e. Monkeys, Beers etc. Lord Hanuman , Sugreev, Angad, Jamvant etc. were not human but still came forward and fought wit Ravan in  the battle. Hence take the support from anybody when in need.

5. Dharm is Most important Factor: If you doing something wrong, cruel, unethical or any Sin, you would definitely loose the battle despite you may be most powerful person on the earth. It may take away the family, society or nation too. Ravan was most powerful person with a large team of great warriors but could not sustain long against Bhagwan Ram. His ego and manipulations destroyed the whole Lanka.

6. Believe in yourself not in the Public: One should be firm enough in own belief else the advisors and public will force you to abandon your soul also. Never ever think what others would say , else you will be finished soon. The world is full of scoundrels eager to crush you if chance given. Bhagwan Ram should have not let Sita go in jungle just because public partially was viewing against her.

7. Never Underestimate the Opponents : Howsoever small the opponent may be, never underestimate them. Shatrugna, Laxman and Bharat underestimated heavily Love & Kush and got defeated. Unless we have full information about the opponent, never plunge.

8. Move towards mission, Solutions will flow: Bhagwan Ram did not know where is Lanka and when they came to know it otherside of the Sea , there was no solution to cross the Sea. But he went alongwith his army till the shore and found the solution where the bridge was built with floating stones. We should not abandon the mission just because it looks impossible.

9. Don't support blindly: Ravan did wrong but except Vibhishan every body else in Lanka stood with him just because they were quire near and dear to him. One shall not support blindly to anybody for any cause just because of relation.

10. Tough Time may Lasts for Long too: It is said that "Tough Time never lasts but tough people do" but there may be exception to this. For Mata Sita , tough time remained for very long period. Hence be ready for tough time too even if it does not lasts.

Big Opportunity for India Post Covid19

Friends
"Covid19" has proved actually "disaster 20" for the whole world. It started from China and spread across the Globe. Yesterday there was a News that there is no patient in Wuhan, China which was the origin of Corona Virus. Many nations are blaming China for this pandemic and trying to take action in their own way. China will never accept this but it has definitely invited ire of many developed countries. Now people feel that China has virtually freed itself from Covid19 and others are still facing the heat of this pandemic. Lakhs of people have perished and there is no end in near future. It may increase substantially.

So, the anger of various nations is justified to some extent. The repercussion of this anger is decision of shifting certain industries from China to other countries which are suitable and viable locations. The decision by some companies originally from Japan and South Korea may be further followed by various other Covid19 sufferers. Options to these shifting can be many Asian countries providing similar or better work environment at cheaper cost. Generally an industrialist weigh the option on the basis of - a) Ease of doing business; b) Infrastructure; c) Environment; d) Tax structure; e) Stability in government policies; and f) political safety among other factors.

India, meets most of the above required criteria but still there are few crucial factors which need to be improved to attract these companies.
1. Eased of doing Business: This is the most crucial factor for a business which depends on legal structure, government approvals & procedures, level of corruption, tax authority attitude etc.
  In my view we need to improve this a lot because in our legal system the recovery of money is time consuming and the decisions take too long time. IBC 2016 has helped in improving the global rating in ease of doing business but this still need to be improved. Infact there are rumour of relaxation in the Code to help the borrowers. If this is given the new investors will afraid of their recoveries in the current legal system. Also the taxation policies should be long term without retrospective effect.
2. Environment : This is also another factor which is crucial for business to select the country for shifting the base. Important ingredient of this is political environment. If we can assure of the cordial atmosphere amongst various communities without fear or favour, it would be a good attraction for the investors.

We are a democratic country with stable political setup, it is good time to attract the industries willing to shift form China resulting into huge employment and economic growth . Our country is well positioned to get success in this with some minor improvements.

Ten Best Quotes, I came across in Life So far

Friends
We are in Lockdown state since 36 days. Though we are getting mostly depressing and negative news mostly, here I wish to share some of the best quotes I came across in life:

1.  A mind is like a parachute: it only functions when it is open-Annonymous
     I don't know who said it but this represent the fact of life. If we are biased or judgemental, we can not move forward. We need to keep mind open which can allow fresh ideas and views.

2. Everyone who shits on you is not necessarily your enemy, Everyone who gets you out of shit is not necessarily your friend and, if you are warm and happy in a pile of shit, Keep Your Mouth Shut.
   A beautiful quote which hits us to the core of heart where in we become biased, suspicious, cautious and blind to judge a person.

3.  Love yourself. Flirt with your understanding. Romance with dreams. Get engaged with simplicity. Marry genuineness. Divorce the ego. That is a good life.
    If you cant love yourself, dont expect others to do that. Self gratification is key to good life.

4. Don’t place your mistakes on your head, their weight may crush you. Instead place them under your feet and use them as a platform to view your horizon.
    Learn from the mistakes and move forward never allow the mistakes to stop your actions. But if you dont learn from the mistakes then better let them crush you.  Those who learn from mistake of others are much smarter. Choice is yours. After all Mistakes are painful when they happen, but years later collection of mistakes is called experience which leads to success.

5. When God solves your problems, you have faith in his abilities; When God does not solve your problems, he has faith in your abilities.
 Hence have faith in God and his decision to put faith in you.

6.  We always overestimate the change that will occur in the next 2 years and underestimate the change that will occur in next 10 years. Dont let yourself to be lulled into inaction-Bill Gates
  A  famous quote by Bill Gates where in the vision og long term is always considered as unattainable dream.

7. It's never a good idea to wait to do anything; given the uncertainty of life, just get going." - Warren Buffet
Who else can prove this quote except Warren himself. More analysis will lead to paralysis and hence move on continuously.

8. If a problem can be solved, no need to worry about it, if a problem can not be solved, what is the use of worrying.
 Hahahh. This is the fact of life but never practiced. We are more worried about the first category of problems.  Later these worries cost you too dear to afford.

9. Whoever you are or whatever it is that you do, when you really want something, it is because that desire originated in the soul of the universe. A mysterious force would show the way to get it.
    This quote was later filmed in a Shahrukh Khan film. Of course it is fact of life.

10. Don’t be afraid to take a big step when required; you can’t cross a chasm in two small steps.
      Thus, every big step is cluster of many small steps. Don't worry start it, push it at the end success will be yours.

I wish you wd like these quotes and try to follow in life.

Corona Pandemic & Lockdown

Friends
The killing wave of Corona started in our country when there was an announcement of the Address to Nation by the Hon'ble Prime Minister on 17.3.2020. The address to the Nation by PM was on 20.3.2020 followed by Janta Curfew on 22.3.2020 and further complete lockdown on 25.3.2020 for 21 days i.e. till 14.4.2020. At that time it was opined or misunderstood by the people that after 14.4.2020 the corona effect will fade away so the cost of lockdown can be afforded to save the precious life of my countrymen. Unfortunately, the situation was same or worse on 14.4.2020 which forced the government to extend the lockdown by another 19 days totalling to 40 days till 3.5.2020. Period of 40 days is quite pious for the Hindus and it is expected that some thing good will emerge by that time. I remember, for a lady who just delivered any infant has to live in 40 days lockdown before coming out of the house. Now, I can feel the pain our mothers had to go thru when we were born.

In this lockdown life has come to complete halt with no activity beyond the house walls. Every body across the world these days is having similar job profile ( doing household chorus), same clothing (informal bermudas, nicker, pyjama or lungi) , in depress mood with hope of revival of the situation in a very short period. The day starts with reading covid meter, newspaper (mostly online) and surfing social media on whatsapp/facebook/twitter etc. Common factor in all these information channel is the number of cases, death etc which further kills the hope to revive. The routines have changed drastically filling the office hours by meditation, sleep, reading or surfing the Net. These have their own limitations and can not be replacement for the long period.

It is already 35 days of the lockdown but there is no chance of Corona extinction. Rather, general mood is to accept this pandemic as part of the life for the next 6-9 months till there is any vaccination or medicine produced for the human being. The cases are increasing day and night and further expected to grow. Only consolation is that lockdown has so far saved our country from big catastrophe due to high vulnerable situation of our country.

The economy is put on back burner and the cost of reviving it may be tremendous. People in lockdown with no activity for such a long period will take some time after the situation gets normal. Economic engine will need lot of support and time to restart and come on the track. While the lockdown is in process, i have some serious questions related to this pandemic i.e. Whether this will leave many people unemployed/ whether certain sectors like Hospitality, Entertainment, Tourism, Beauty Parlours, Malls, Airlines, Taxis, etc. will survive this ? How & when the economy will be back on track? How people will react to the situation post lockdown? What cost we will pay for this lockdown vis a vis life saving of millions?

Only time will give the answer to these tough questions.

Challenges to Small business people post Corona Pandemic

Our country is mainly driven by self employed people which include small business people. This constitutes more than 200 million in numbers. These people are professionals, shopkeepers, retailers, small factories, carpenters, etc. Etc. The families of self financed people is dependent on day to day businesses. They also generate job to various people thus supporting larger part of the Indian population. To sum up more than 800 million people are dependent on this segment.

Corona pandemic is going to change the current business fabric drastically in near to medium term. There is lock down of 21 days, later it will be relaxed but that will be beginning of the problem for this segment. On one side there is Disaster Managemnt Act forcing the entrepreneur to pay the salary/ wages for this period and on the other side their will be no revenue for some time. Also the fixed expenses of their establishment  like interest, rent etc. will continue  to be charged to them. Even the taxation burden will be tremendous to these people. Major challenge to these people will be from the realisation side where the customers may not pay them in time crushing the whole cycle. I can foresee this that huge recovery problems are going to damage the small entrepreneur badly where in every one will use the corona as shelter to defer the payment genuinely and non genuinely too. Another challenge will be to restart the business particularly with labourers who may have moved back to their villages far away from the work place. This will impact the supply chain badly affecting the business operations.

So far there is no major support announced to this segment which firms maximum part of a over all working population . The protection and support to this segment is immensely needed for the survival of Indian economy and grow further. The damage to this segment may have cascading effect on various other sectors like real state, infrastructure, autimibile, gem & Jewellery, textile etc. I wish there will be certainly some boost to this segment and GOI is working relentlessly to take care. This segment can also be called as basic pillar of Indian economy which is badly affected by corona pandemic.

Indian economy : current state and way forward

Friends
Indian economy is currently in a very critical state. Despite the crude oil prices crashed to The lowest in decades , rupee dollar rate surged substantially. Whatever benefit could be passed on to the public for oil price reduction has been diverted to the government coffers by way of increase in duties. Although the economy was already reeling since quite some time the corona effect pushed it forcefully to dust. It may take long time before it rebounds and start generating growth. Employment situation is getting worse day by day and after lock down it will further worsen. Migration of workers from city to their remote villages will force them to think twice before coming again to cities. Businessmen is already in distress now at least for the medium term. In this situation post corona phase will be quite painful for some time. It may take 3-6 months before reviving post corona situation.
Government of India has taken many positive steps to support the economy but their actual result will be known later only.  I as Indian citizen wish to suggest some steps in revival of the economy post corona and during corona period:
1. Current financial year 2019-20 should be of 15 months I.e. Till 30.6.2020;
2. No business entity should be charged any interest on loans & credits for the lock down period;
3. Share markets should be suspended till 30.6.2020;
4. Infrastructure sector should be given major push to generate employments and support ancillary sectors;
5. Certain seasonal sectors like agriculture should be given priority in opening up ;
6. Recovery actions by the Banks and financial institutions for overdues  and instalments should be suspended till March 2021;
7. Legal proceedings against MSME under insolvency, taxation etc. Should be suspended for a year;
8. Pending applications seeking licence, approvals for setting up project should be disposed off with in a month time else shall be presumed to be approved;
9. Real estate sector in the urban areas is one of the major employment generating sector and shall be promoted urgently. All the land conversion approvals should be given liberally unless there is strategic reason.
10. Financial institutions should not charge maximum interest of 4% over and above RBI recess repo rate;
11. Promotion to exports and manufacturing activity is must and urgently required . A detailed analysis of the existing benefits need to be done and necessary steps should be taken in this regard.

I wish above steps will definitely help in revival of the economy.

Corona, quarantine & Life

Friends
Since last one week our country is in complete lock down. every body is in self quarantine . While we are connected thru electronic media ( basically social media) but a typical aloofness is prevailing in mind. Every thing has come to standstill leaving nothing in action. As I mentioned in my previous blog, the time is quite dull and boring. The absence of time line and fear of uncertainty is causing more trouble to our mindset. Every body is holed inside the house trying to console him/herself that they are safe . People are afraid of any bad news in this helpless situation.

Couple of days back I lost my Aunty and no body could go to her village to attend the funeral. The helplessness in the voice of my maternal uncle was quite apparent. Nothing could be done.  Similarly the news of corona positive cases in distant city or state make us worry but a single incidence in the vicinity or city gives bumps. We are afraid of some unknown incidences where every one is helpless. The emotions are on hold and a small imagination gives the shivers.

Our country has currently reported 1000+ positive cases with 27 deaths and counting . People have started behaving in unknown and cold manner due to this fear. Although the disease spread through global travellers the cascading effect on poor is too horrible. They losing job and food due to lock down and can not sustain for long. We can see their plight from cities to villages on foot. This plight will definitely leave a deep scare on the people moving to the big cities in search of Job. The longterm effect of Corona on Economy will be very damaging but the need of the hours is to contain it , save poors and control the damages.

However, despite all these, few positive inputs are also pouring in. The casualty rate is arnd 2%, Asian weather may be of some help in containing the spread and community spread is almost nil so far. I wish things improve faster and we bring back the life on track.

Life in quarantine period

Friends
Last 3 days have been successfully passed in quarantine out of the total 21 days. I fact I am in quarantine sinew 20.3.20 hence it is complete one week. This quarantine period has changed every thing physically and mentally.
In absence of any outgoing plans we need to keep arrested with in the house with almost nil activities. Initially I was thinking to give some time to reading and writing along with entertainment, household chorus and various pending matters. I also planned for doing some meditation, yoga, excercise etc. in the spare time after daily household chorus. Since there is no domestic agency every thing has to be done by us only, it was expected that some time will be consumed in unseen activities.
But, last one week has been almost dull and boring. Physically the routine disturbed because the activities include breakfast then sleep then lunch then sleep then dinner and final sleep. Mentally I could not do any new reading or writing. No planning for the future. Most of the time goes in scrolling mobile, games and TV. There are no newspaper to read in view of the lockdown . Physically the digestion is become weak, no freshness, no new thoughts . Only thoughts and discussion points are around Corona Pandemic. Thus negative news and thoughts have overtaken everything else .
It seems the quarantine period so far is wasted. I wish remaining period of 17 days will be used in better way with some purposeful activities with some positive thinking.

CORONA & QUARANTINE

Friends,
These two words I came across first time in my life of 57 years. During February month of this year. I was extremely busy in my daughters' marriage but the news about Corona had already been in circulation. We seem to be almost ignored this fact that this is a virus too contagious and travels thru human body. There were some news about its effect in China and unknowingly we were looking for some business opportunities for the country. It was just like killing the Karna in Mahabharta when he was weaponless due to his chariot stuck up in mud and Arjun attacked. With this mindset at least I could not foresee that this virus with no boundaries can spread dangerously across the globe.
Later it came to know that there is no medicine globally to fight this unseen dangerous killer enemy. Surprise to know this that on one side we going moon, mars and lot many other celestial orbits. We could measure the galaxy and also find other galaxies in the universe. There were news that Russia has developed fastest ballistic missile. Lots of power in humans with arms across the world and frightening each other. In fact we challenged the nature with our knowledge, inventions, arms and so on. God was avoiding all the way since last 90-100 years. Probably after Spanish flu ( which lasted for 3 years and killed about 100 million people). God ignored two world wars, Hitlers' genocides, lot of wars between countries on border issues or some economic issues. We started selling and ruling the world with religions, castes, creeds, colours and so on. We human became so powerful that all mute creatures, trees, rivers, oceans started crying.

During childhood, I was told that for the God 100 years is nothing more than a day. He noticed what we  human have done during his one day. To reprimand us he simply threw a very very tiny tool and put us on knees. Where are our inventions? What about those atomic powered arms, science to reach beyond galaxy? What about our borders now? Don't forget we used to boost that not even a bird can fly inside our border without our permission. All have become useless . Rather we are asking to each other when this medicine will be invented to fight this Corona. Friends remember Corona is only a small virus and there may be end number of tools with God to teach lesson. Not only in 2020 but in 3020 also. We are tiny species of this mother earth and should behave like this only.

This is the first time in my life where in the only remedy available is to keep yourself indoor and quarantine. could you imagine  such remedy? what about those space stations, deep underground cities and all? We humans are on the knees friends and only medicine is pray and keep your self aloof. Trying to save ourselves from this pandemic. We forgot every thing now i.e. politics, caste, color etc. and looking at each other if any medicine is available. Tell me one thing if there is any medicine available will we get it on the basis of caste, color or nation? I don't think so. Then why we humans cant behave properly and live together with peace and harmony.

Best reaction to defeat: Enjoy & move forward

Life teaches always and gives lesson in hardest way . Sometimes you win and mostly loose. The world does not move as per our aspirations, it has its own way and god has to take care of every one . Sometimes you feel lost the battle, embarrassed, ditched, betrayed etc etc. it is painful and may leave deep scar on memory. But the reaction to all these is in our control. The reaction will decide our destiny and that is absolutely in our control. It may affect the health, the reputation, life too badly.

In my view defeat should also be enjoyed if we want to remain in the ring. There is never end till we decide . Enjoying the defeat may be hard to practice but this is the best and most effective reaction . The let go and move forward approach not only brings back better opportunity but also sure shot chance of winning. If we repent and grudge it will damage us only. So if we wish to grow and become stronger the best reaction is be calm and enjoy the defeat.

Just shared this thought.

Changing Priorities of our country

Inflation highest in 6 years, economic growth lowest in 6 years.

Recent headlines in the corner of business newspaper. This should have been main news of the paper but they also shied away from highlighting more but could not avoid it totall too.  Anybody listening this or we have changed priorities ? May be it sounds rude but somewhere we are delinking from the global priorities. We need to review seriously if we are really conscious about this shift in paradigm.

There may have been some mistakes in the past but correcting them does not guarantee that we are not going to make new mistakes. May be more mistakes and blunders . The process will continue till the humans are on this planet. What may be remembered in near term is the improvement  we can make in our society, country and global at large. Post liberalisation we decided to grow economically as per world standards and took a path of liberalism. Last 28-29 years have witnessed substantial growth of our country though it is still long road to go. In such situation changing the track may not be a good idea. We should not repent later towards the cost of achieving something else.

We should keep aside political issues and focus on the economic front else road to slide will  always be speedy. It takes years to build something but few seconds to demolish. Choice is ours, no one can be blamed.

Mental Slaveness

Friends, I wish to share with you my views on current situation of  " Mental Slaveness" . It is a situation where the mindset, tho...
