Friends

People would come and go, friends would come and go, relatives would also come and go. Coming and going is the rule of this earth. Many people come in this world in poor state but they end up up as successful person. Many come with silver spoon in mouth but end up with frustration and disgraceful life. Most people come and go unnoticed in this world. What makes a person successful, failure, rich, poor, graceful or disgraceful? Who should be blamed or praised for all these? The person himself or the society or the country or the education or the friends or the surroundings? Money can not be the reason for all these because many poor people became rich and famous. Education also not the sole tool because most entrepreneurs are not much literate. Then what is the basic reasons for transformation of a person from one end to the other? I know these are the questions always crop up in our mind. In my view the surroundings, parents and society is largely responsible in giving shape to a person. That is why it is said that "getting birth in poor family is our destiny but dying as poor is our decision". Although attitude is the key to destiny of a person but it is also severly affected by the factors mentioned above.

Every day we come across lot of opportunites which we allow to go unnoticed. We meet many people but fail to look at the opportunities. In most of the cases the opportunities come in the form of dull, unnoticed packaging and that is the reason we fail to catch hold of them. Also it is very difficult to judge a person because the successful person would be very simple and humble which makes others difficult to understand him. But what to do , the world is like this only and we have to find the ways and means from such challenging situation.

Past Memories

Friends

Whenever you look to the past it is exciting experience, be it the history or album or the memory journey, you feel happy about the events took place and feel happy to see or remember that. Yesterday such old journey was remembered in JAP, our association of professionals. It is now 8 year old and a short film of the events took place in last years was shown. I remember it was post earthquake, my city was still under shock and there was nothing positive in business or social or political fronts. The faces in last eight years have changed a lot. Those with black hairs have grown to grey area now, those with grey have now lost most of the hairs. People with moustache have become clean shave now and kids with no moustache have grown quite old. I remember the year 2001 and 2002 were the worst years for Ahmedabad. People outside the state used to ask us many embarrassing questions and used to behave as if we are the conspirators of every thing. Other side business was almost nil. Yes self confidence with trust in god was there which kept us floating for next about three years. Present would go soon but the past would remain forever. If past is good it boosts the morale and inspires for the future but if past is not very good then also it inspires to change the strategy, amend business plans and also take corrective actions. Let us use the past memories as better opportunity.

Self Respect

Friends

A man full of frustration and fear ran to his friend for his advice. In early morning he rushed to the house of friend and said that he has lost every thing he had earned through out the life. The friend had just come out of puja sitting in drawing room. He consoled the friend and asked for a cup of tea, but the man was so shattered and frustrated that he could not stop from crying. After some time the things got cooled down and then the friend asked what has happened to him suddenly. The man said that he must have read today's news paper carrying false story about him. This has spoiled his image and social reputation. The friend said he did not read the news paper today so far. He said that half of the population of this town would never read newspaper as they can not afford it. Remaining half may not read all the pages and most of the people would read only the news of their interest. Now the story about you would be read by your friends and enemies. Those who are enemy are already not with you so it does not matter much and those who are true friends would not believe the story . Hence do not feel let down and nothing has been lost.

Friends this story indicates that we are over concerned about ourselves and create lot of tension. Instead we should respect our self without comparing with the neighbour. We are also part of the human race, god's own creation and full of qualities. Self respect is necessity, not a luxury.
