During childhood I used to hear a story that in a village a girl had seven brothers. She was loved by all too much but her parents had got expired so the brothers were taking care of her like an angel. Gradually the brothers got married and their wives became jealous of the sister in law. They were in business and had to travel a lot and once all of them had gone outstation for long time. All the seven wives thought this is right time to teach lesson to this sister and hence planned accordingly. The brothers used to treat her like princess and she never did any work at home. To teach her lesson the wives put her in servant quarter outside the house and used to get her work every thing they wish. She was kept half starve and even for some food put up many terms and conditions. One day she was asked to go in jungle and bring the hair of lion. Then to bring water from a well without rope, one told to bring the milk of lioness etc. etc. Like this all the seven wives gave her one or other hard work to do if she wants food. At home she used to do all the work for all members and even the animals of the house. In two weeks she was in very pity situation and was even unable to walk properly. Gradually time passed and the brothers came to the village. First thing they did was to enquire about their sister but they said she had gone to temple, then later said may be to her friends and all. By evening they could not find their lovely sister and then all of them became violent. Ultimately truth came that she is roaming to nearby villages and begging here and there. The brothers got their sister after lot of efforts and searching but she was totally broken and shocked.

This happens when you place some one very dear or invaluable to you with some one highly reliable. We place faith and some times repent on our actions. I agree such experience would be rare but this can result into great shock of the life. But anyway don't stop putting faith.

Also when you offer something beyond his/her expectations, the chances are that the offer would be either disrespected or doubted. There was a movie where a government clerk used to take bribe and the highest expectation was a good fish. One day some one offered him two fish and that created doubt in his mind that if this guy giving so much then what is the value of benefit he would be taking from me and hence not only refused to accept the bribe but also reprimanded him. Had he offered only one fish, he would have got his work done.

After Janmashtami this time next day was Independence day and further rest day i.e. Sunday. Thus people enjoyed three days' holiday in one go. I went to Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore and Tirupati in last 10 days.

An immediate family of four is so closely knit that even if a member goes out of this web, you feel a great vacuum. But kids have to shape their own career and hence go out of the family shell. Nikita is in B'lore and hence we all were there with her for couple of days and had also gone to Tirupati. This was a great time more of satisfaction that kids are managing everything on their own.

Janmashtami

Today is Janmashtami. It is ashtami the day when Lord Krishna had taken birth. Lord Krishna is god and basically human avatar of lord Vishnu. As a human if we look into his life we would know lot about him. Lord krishna is generally visualised as enjoying life, dancing music and playing. And later giving updesh to Arjun and the whole world about Karma(action), Fal(result), universe, God etc. But he also taught to survive in this world. He was 8th son of Dev-Devki, had lost 6 brothers already, parents in jail since years, own mama was torturing like anything still he survived. He got the blame of Mahabharata war too, fought many wars and mainly with relatives, still he survived. He was with the side of truth always and that is the message he gave. It was the time the war between Kaurav and Pandavas was about to start. He was taking rest in a room and both Duryodhan and Yudhishthar came to him. Duryodhan was towards his feet andYudishthar near to his shoulder. He got awake, opened the eyes and first saw Duryodhan and then Yudhishthar. He asked Duryodhan what he wants from him for war i.e. himself or his army? Since Duryodhan was first seen by him so the right of first choice was with Duryodhan. Duryodhan thought instead of this one guy, if I ask for his entire army and ammunition, Pandavas would be easily defeated. So he chose Army of Krishna and then Yudishthar said I want you to be with me not your army. Ultimate results are known to every one, but the message is very loud and clear and it is "One true friend with knowledge is much better than army of lacs of people". This is the value of relationship and can never be equated with anything. A relation builds in years and takes moments to spoil. We should learn this thing and keep in mind for the entire life.

How should be the vacations/holidays celebrated? August is the month of lot of happenings. This has Rakshabandhan, Independence day, Janmastami, Paryusan of Jains, Ganesh Chaturthi, etc. Due to sawan month, people do not shave, drink or eat non vegetarian food in many regions of the country. This is the month of vacations, holidays, religious sentiments, national integration, excitements, fun and so on. Every body enjoys the month in his own way. This month has become more happening due to ongoing threat of swine flu. This month also witnessed solar eclipse.

The vacations and holidays were given by the society for relieving the people from stress of hard work in farms but these days the vacations are used for getting stress. I observed many people on janmasthami play cards till late nights and even whole nights and that too for many days, play gamble games, etc. Not only that the stress level is further increases by use of alcohol, travelling etc. The holidays would pass bye and again we would be back to work. Most of the time , we overstretch the holidays by adding the pre & post days of holidays for travelling and when we return to work instead of freshness we are more stressed. Money is made by us and hence we should rule money not the money should rule us.

Though I am no one to advise about the use of vacations, but in my opinion some part of the vacations must be used relaxing the body, thinking, planning, socialising and reading. This may help in long term.

Recently I had mentioned that the action is the key to success and later also shared with you that quick decisions are must. It means fast actions can be the result of quick decisions only. Today I wish to share some more thoughts about these two important factors.

1. Quick Decisions: What can be termed as quick decision? In my view the decision taken with some thoughts, some analysis and earlier than any one else could visualise is the quick decision. The feeling of quick decision is always warm and exciting. Though the decisions taken with speed may carry some risks but the habit of taking quick decisions would always pay in long term. On other side the decision taken after deep thinking, detailed analysis, fully cautious and full of intelligence will mostly not result into too fruitful. By the time decision is taken the steam in the issue goes out. Better we take risk and make habit of taking quick decisions. I am sure it would be

2. Fast Action: There is no existence of quick decisions in life if the action is not followed. The decisions become important only when actions are put into place. Actions can be slow and fast both. Fast decision would not only keep the momentum high but also brings the fruits early. This habit would automatically increase the time at our disposal.

I also wish to share that the opportunity to take decision comes from the soul of the world and it contains some soul or gas which vapours out soon. Thus to grab the opportunity quick decisions are must and more important is fast action.

Quick Decisions

Whatever decisions we take in life for study, job, family, business, social issues, property buying etc. etc. depend on our attitude towards the world. Most of the time we noticed that hasty decisions cost dearly to us, but I believe no decision or late decision would be costlier in life. I noticed one peculiar thing about the successful(SF) and not so successful(NSF) persons. SF people have been fooled more times than NSF, SF have done more mistakes than NSF, SF have put in more efforts than NSF, SF have gone through more pains than NSF, SF are less analytical than NSF, SF cried more than NSF, Number of decisions went wrong for SF are much more than NSF and above all SF have taken more risks than NSF. Despite all this SF continued their efforts with full focus and got success. In such cases I found that taking decision and sticking to it is more important than analysing the decision and keeping pending to it. Once the moment of decision comes and we Delay it for any reason, the value of the decision fades away and gradually we convince our self that not taking decision was good idea. We avoided the risk that way but the fact is that we blocked our path to success also. So I would suggest fast decision with immediate action can be a good option in life.

What should be the way to success. I think many a times and arrive to the conclusion that thinking is very important but it is of no use until put into action. Many people around us who are much younger to me are more successful and I noticed that the only difference between them and me is action.I may have thought the same thing but the action by them was more fast, focused and consistent. This is where they got edge on me. I am not comparing the persons with me but just comparing the reasons and I noticed following comparison:

I believe the only factor I lacked was the speed in action and the rest were similar.

Again a gap of 15 days in writing over this dash board. Life goes on with the time and nothing stops in life. Earth can not stop circling round the sun and hence nothing can be put to halt. We meet, communicate with many people every day. Some we forget, some we remember but in due course forget them, some remain in touch and some become close friends. Very few remain in touch for long. This process goes on depending on the interactions and opportunities.

We also know many celebrities and try to simulate them, some become our ideal and we try to follow their principles and strategies. Problem with we "mango people (aam aadmi)" is that we hardly know about them and never reach to them to understand more and more about such people. Rajmata Gayatridevi of Jaipur has moved to heaven after 90 years on this earth. I had the opportunity to see her couple of times. In fact Jaipur would never forget this legend lady for her contribution to this estate. But the time would move on nothing stops and honestly should not too. Jane wala chala jata hai bas uski yaaden rah jati hai.

With the passage of time we grow and become older, irrespective of the fact whether we become more intelligent or not, but the image we build is such that we are more intelligent than younger ones. Had it been the case, no younger one would be the richest people in this world. Experience and knowledge are very important factors for success but not the only factors. There are so many other ingredients needs for success and one of the most important is attitude. Unfortunately very less is taught about this factor and that is the reason very few become successful in life.
